Things are going swimmingly

Ahhh, these past few weeks have flew by! We have been working on remodeling our master bedroom. From the replacing the drywall, to leveling the floors, to mudding, taping and painting, in between we had a 4 day volleyball National to attend and so far 5 softball games! To say the least, it has been hectic. We are definately on the downhill slide with the bedroom. Finished laying the subfloor today and tomorrow we will start the flooring. Then the trim and then moving back into it!! We have been out of our bedroom for almost 2 years... lol yes, we aren't exactly Johnny on the spots are we! But we are coming to the end of a very long (too long) trip down home improvement lane! I am happy to report that as soon as this little project is done we are embarking on another, not quite so grand but just as time consuming and expensive one. Our front bedroom, where we have been calling home for the past two years is next on the list. It will be completely gutted and remodeled and hopefully in 2 months (instead of 2 years) Haley will be moving into that room and her bedroom will become my permanent craft Studio!!! CAN'T WAIT!!!

Here are a couple of pictures from softball this last week!

I am so Proud!

I am so proud of my daughter! Today, as a freshman in high school she made the Varsity Softball team! If you only knew how hard she worked for the past 8 years and how much she sacrificed in order to even get to this point. It really is amazing! We have sacrificed as a family as well... Many summers have gone by and our only vacations have been a get a way weekend to a softball tournament. We are never home during the summer, our close family members in the summer are the other parents and the players on her ASA team. Today, well today it made all of the sacrifice worth it!

So proud, so so proud!

This picture was taken this summer with her travel team.

I must be the only one that doesn't know this...

But just in case I thought I would mention it here! Have you heard of Picnik? It is this great photo editing site! I just discovered it yesterday and have been playing ever since! You can do all sorts of fun things... like turning digital photo's into poloroids! That is after you played with the coloring and turned it Sepia!

There is also a 60's mode to turn your photo into a picture that looks like it was taken 40 years ago instead of just yesterday at a birthday party!

I probably haven't mentioned the best part but this software has a FREE version!!! Yes, I said Free! While the paid version is super cheap for what you get, only $24.95 for a year you still get alot with the FREE version!!! You definately need to go check it out.. It is a great alternative for those just begining in photo editing and don't want to invest a ton of money in PhotoShop!

Here is one more for your viewing pleasure!

Go Try it Now!! :)
