Here are a couple of photos of my completed storage units! I hope that you will follow along through the classes!! They really are fun to make and they take supplies you might already have on hand! If not, Capri Sun is usually 2.50 at the grocery store! Not bad for 10 drinks and marker storage! :)

And you can see the Part Three Finale directly below! I hope that you have enjoyed this class and I hope to do more of this type of thing in the future! Have a wonderful New Year and please be safe!!

Whats on your Workdesk, Wednesday?

Well, my favorite holiday has come and gone! So fast, it seems like it was never even here! The only remnants left are my decorations that will be coming down tomorrow and then , well it will be almost like it never was. It didn't really even seem like Christmas this year. In my neck of the woods we almost always have had a significant snow by now (trust me I am not complaining) but it seems like that was all that was missing this year. So maybe I do need snow on or before Christmas, hmmm.. something to ponder for sure!

My desk, well my entire craft studio is in a major state of disarray! In fact, when I am done with this post..I am going to start a cleaning session that I hope will enable me to at least find some floor space! :D This evening I plan on going to check out you all's blogs. Last week I was a bit remiss in getting to as many as I could! This week.. I will do much better!

Here is a picture of my desk and surrounding spots this week:

I think that a tornado has went through the rest of the room! It's nuts! But It will be sharply improved soon! I hope!

Don't forget to check out Julia's blog and see how many others are showing off their spaces this week!!

In case you missed it, here is the video to the first class for the marker storage! I hope you will check it out! The second class will be finished uploading in about an hour!

Upcycled Marker Supply Storage Supply List

Hey Everyone! Here is the Supply list you will need to gather for the 3 Part Class that starts Monday On YouTube! If you aren't already a YouTube Subscriber of mine, here is a link to my Channel!

If you click on Subscriber you can also elect to have a notification emailed to you when my new videos go live! This way you don't miss any of the classes or tutorials I offer!

Ok. Here is the Supply List!

  • Capri Sun Box --or similar weight box. The measurements of the completed portions of the box are 3.5" tall x 6" wide x 4.5" in depth. What you see above is two of the pieces stacked on top of each other. That is what I will teach in the class.
  • Medium weight chipboard 1 Piece of 12x12 or the equivalent in recycled materials. If I would have had a cardboard box to cut up I would have used that instead. So by all means please use what you have!
  • 4 items that you can use as feet for your box. I used the little knobs that Stacy Ann sent me in a rack.
  • Assorted trims and decorations to decorate your box. My are all from Pro31 Designs! She has awesome items in her shop so I hope you check her out!
  • 1/4 yard of fabric or paper of your choice to cover your boxes. Since I used fabric, I did apply a coat of gesso over the box so that the design could not be seen through my fabric.
  • Mod Podge or other adhesive to adhere fabric or paper.
  • Hot Glue for adhering boxes together. You can also use duct tape or other tape if you are coviering with a thick fabric.
That's it guys! If I think of anything else that you might need I will add it to this list so check back at least one more time before Monday to make sure you have everything!

I will try and have the Part 1 video up by 10 AM CST on Monday!

Have a very happy Holiday!!!

Julie

WOYWW, Some cards I made and a Thank You Sale!

Hi there Crafter's!

Hope you all are having a wonderful Holiday Season! It has been Busy Busy here at the ole Casa! I need to get my rump in gear and get the rest (majority) of my Christmas shopping done!

So, in order to do that! I must show you some things I have been working on!!

I finally gave up on the hopes that a Christmas Card making Elf would come into my life, and I started on some cards! Here is what I have so far!

The papers I believe are an old (probably Ancient) My Minds Eye Christmas stack! Some goodwill silk flowers are turned into embellishments along with some Tim Holtz Rosettes, stick pins, and a Spellbinders Pennant Die created these cards! I kinda like how they turned out. Remember, my expectations are low because I don't make alot of cards!

And finally, here is my Desk for Whats on your Workdesk Wednesday! Check out Julia as she got us all into this crazyiness! :)
What a Marvelous Mess it is! Marvelous because it is mine, all mine of course :D

Oooh Almost forgot, I am having a Thank You Sale at my shop! I feel so grateful to have had a wonderful Holiday Sales season so far and I want to pass along a discount to you all! Use the code MERRY15 to receive 15% off anything that is in stock at my shop! There are still lots of tags, flowers, die cuts and mini album kits to choose from! And, if you are in the states, there is still time to get it all before the big day! :) A gift to yourself? One for your friend? Whatever it is, I hope you will have a chance to take advantage of the discount!

Thank you So Much!

Have you heard of Blitsy.com?

How many of you crafters out there have heard of Blitsy.com? If you haven't.. you need to check it out, Soon!!
Blitsy.com is the latest in the deal of the day sites with a bit of a difference. They have several deals each Monday, Wednesday and Friday. They also leave the previous deals up until the sell out or that day comes around again. For instance, if Blitsy lists some Tim Holtz goodies On Monday and they don't sell out by next Monday they will then be taken down for Monday's new swag!

Honestly the deals are amazing! I am going to post a link for you. I hope that you will follow this link and use it to sign up for Blitsy. It is a referral link and what that means is when you sign up using my link, it will go down in Blitsy's book that I referred you to them. When you make your first purchase, Blitsy will credit my account 10$. After you sign up you will be eligible for the same great deal. You will receive a link, and then you can post it around to your friends as well. Here is my link:

If you have already signed up for Blitsy somewhere else! That is great!! I am posting this so that everyone can get some great deals! And the chance to get some free too!!

Thanks guys!!

I hope you are having a great Monday! It has been cold here :( <------ that's my face right now, sad. I don't like Cold!

Talk to you soon!

Paper Flower Tutorial - The Juliet

A while back I was pondering flower ideas, trying to come up with something new. I was messing around with a bunch of left over circle die cuts I had laying around and came up with this idea! I passed it around to a few of my friends to make sure that they had not seen anything like it in the past and that is how "The Juliet Flower" came to be!
The Ingredients!
  • Glue Gun or Quick Drying Glue
  • Circle punch in 2 sizes or circle dies or circles cut from your electronic die cutter. Or if you are feeling lucky, cut your own!
  • Ink to ink the edges of the circles
  • Something wonderful for your centers, I used large flowers, but you can use anything! Bling, buttons, etc!
Let's get This party Started!
Tada! Told you it was easy! I hope that you will leave a comment! I am very interested to hear what you think of this flower! These are the perfect flower for bows on presents!
Want to see the video tutorial for this flower? Great it is below!
