Onward to Week 4!!!
Well.. if you watch my youtube... you know that I failed my own challenge of not buying! Ugh... Oh well.. the things that I got were totally worth it!!
This past week the challenges were again an organizational challenge.. To organize something else in your studio.. Well.. I was pretty busy this week and I failed this one too!!! Geez.. I need to really pull it together this week so that I can finish strong!
Did you create anything with your stamps this week? I haven't seen any examples except for Mandy's.. If you did let me know I would love to see your creations!
Ok ... So... week 4 challenges! Ribbons, Trims, Laces, etc. etc. etc.
Let's get those bad boys organized so we can see what we have! This was probably the hardest part of my room re-do.. deciding how to organize and display my ribbons and laces and fibers! You can do it.. There are some great ways to store then out there that don't include shoving them in a box somewhere only to be recovered the next time you clean your space!Show off those beautiful ribbons and laces!!
You can do it!
Talk to you guys soon!

Week 3 No Buy Upcycle Recycle Challenge!
Here are going into to week three and honestly, I didn't expect to make it this long! Usually my resolve for something wears off in less then 2 days but here I am standing at the beginning of week 3 and I am still in the game. But, if I am to be honest I am feeling the pains of not shopping. I think my mood is altered to crabbiness when I hear of all the great deals everyone is getting and I get the sale emails from various stores... Oh Lord! I need some therapy or something!
So, last week the challenge was to try a technigue that you have the supplies for but have not ever tried. I was stuck between two things, either use my watercolor pencils that I have had forever or make some metal flowers. Well anyone that knows me knows I love me some flowers so I chose to make some metal flowers. These are what I came up with:
I used the TH tattered florals die for all of the flowers. I also embossed some of them using embossing folders. I like how they came out.. the blue and the red flowers were painted but all of the rest used alcohol inks to color except the copper one.. That was the color of the metal I used on that flower.
The second half of the challenge was to create something using an item you were going to throw away. Well, I didn't make it to this challenge this week, but I did save alot of cardboard that we would have thrown out as well as an oatmeal container and I also saved 2 tin vegatable cans for a project later on!!
So, on to the 3rd week we go! This week we are going to go back to another organizational challenge! We all have things that are out of order in our spaces right? How many of us have scraps that we are saving that are so small you could barely even punch anything out of it? How about your photos? Are they in the order you want them in? What about your fibers, do you have them organized the way you want?
This week I am going to work on organizing my photos! You all seen the pictures of how I have them currently! Total disarray! So, lets work on organizing another space in our room this week!
The second part of the challenge is going to be pretty easy... How many of us have stamps that we bought because we thought we were going to use them and yet we never have? I know for sure that I do! So, this week, lets create a tag or another small item using a stamp that you haven't yet used! Lets put those supplies to good use!!
Have a wonderful week and I look forward to seeing your creations!!

Recap of last weeks challenge! This weeks new Challenge!
Hey Everyone... I hope your first week on the No Buy Upcycle Recycle challenge went well. I have seen a few of your creations and some of your organization and it is wonderful!
Did everyone make it through without buying any new supplies or goodies? I am still doing good here but I have to say that seeing all the mega Michaels hauls on youtube this weekend sent me reeling a little! But I know that at the end of the month I will have money in hand and I will feel good about sticking to this plan for one month!! And I hope you will too!
If you have been watching my youtube you will know that I have posted my responses to the challenges on there. Both the organizational part as well as the craftilicious part! You all know I worked pretty hard this week on getting my studio up to snuff and trying to keep it that way. I have done a pretty good job! Everything is still tidy and neat and I have been trying to make sure I clean up each night before I call it quits!
Earlier in the week I started on the second part of my challenge. I used a faux wax seal that I have had in my stash for many many years.. ( seriously at least 8 years) and I added it to the center of a flower for a tag!
How many of you guys remember these or still have them in your stash?
And then finally I altered one of the dress forms that I had... I am going to use it to show off my swap items that I get back from all you talented ladies!!
Ok---On to this week!
Try one technique that you have been holding off trying! For example.. I am either going to create metal tags this week using the huge roll of metal I have had for about 5 years.. or I am going to work with my watercolor pencils that I have had for about 10 years and never used once!
For the Recycle/Upcycle Challenge this week:
Take one thing from your household that you were going to throw away this week and use it to create something fabulous!!
I can't wait to see what you guys create this week! Make sure you are posting your progress and letting me know :D
Have a wonderful day!!!

Too funny right... I bet all you gals that have been scrappin' for a long time can pull a couple of these out of your stash.. They were all the rage way back then!! Here is a picture of what I created with my oldie but still a goodie supply!
I used the Tim Holtz #8 tag die and cut out my tag from a manila folder. Then I covered it with the new Joann's Die Cuts With a View Immortal Love stack! I have to say I LOVE THIS PAPER! It is a great weight and you don't have to make something Vampirish with it! This tag is just a nice romantic looking tag. I used a feather I had picked up at Hobby Lobby, the bling you see is something I glued on the paper using small rhinestones. I think the spacing came out pretty good :D I have 2 iamroses skeleton leaves and the flower I made using Satin and cut it out 8 times with the Tim Holtz Tattered Floral Die. I used some stickles and some Vintage photo distress ink to finish out the look! Then tied it together with some black ribbons and ric rak!

Altered Dress Form
Hey Everyone!
Thought I would do a quick post tonight and show you the finished project I have been working on today.
A month or so ago over at YPP they did a virtual crap and one of the projects was an altered dress form! It was fantastic and I knew I needed to make it.. Well here it is about a month later and I am finally getting around to it.
You can find these dress forms in the kids craft section at Michaels. It is by a manufacturer named Craft and Play. It is marketed as a jewelry stand. However I am going to use mine to hold handmade tags and such that i get from swaps!
Here is what I did with mine!
I will be doing a video tomorrow on how I did mine and then I will also put up this weeks challenge for the No Buy Upcycle/Recycle challenge!
Have a great evening!!

Today, we lost a friend
As I sit here teary-eyed and sad, I can't help but think of her as more then a dog. She was a member of our family for 9 years.. We got her from the local shelter when she was around 6 years old so she has led a long life. For the past few years she has had declining health and in the past few months she has gone decreasingly downhill.. It was starting to get very hard to watch her try and move around the house. She was also becoming very aggressive to our other animals, to the point that she attacked our lab a few days ago for what seemed like no reason at all.
I will miss her greatly and will love her always. If you feel so inclined, please pray for our Jasmine and for my husband to have the strength he needs at the vets office today.
Thank you all for the friendship you have shown me.

Today was day two of the reorganize-recreation of my studio. I am happy to say I am almost done! I worked for about 7 hours today on it and I can tell you after a full day of it yesterday and now most of the day today, I am beat!!
Hopefully this will be the last time for a while I will get this reorganization bug!
So, here we go on with it! Progress as of today!

Ahhhhh! that is about all I have to say right now.. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel finally! I only have one more tote to unload that was already in the room.. I haven't started on what is in storage and I don't think I will for awhile! But tomorrow, after I put away that one tote, I am going to do a video of the room!
Can't wait!
Have a wonderful evening!!

The After Part 1
Well we were able to get the shelves up in the front part of the room today. Not sure what tomorrow will bring as Jim is still pretty sick. He was a trooper today and got up the ones I needed! Hopefully he is feeling up to helping again tomorrow!
Here is a comparison on what it looked like yesterday and what it looks like today!
I am going to put all of my acrylic paints on the bottom shelf with my sprays, and dyes, and things!
That's it for today folks!
Have a great evening!!
