Flower Friday-Fabric Flower Tutorial with Pearls and Lace!
Hey Everyone! Welcome to another edition of Flower Friday! This weeks flower is definitely Shabby Chic with a splash of vintage! I hope that you love it! Let's get started!
Here is what you will need to complete the flower!
Step one! Tear your fabric so that you have tattered edges. You will need two pieces of fabric about 1.5 to 2" wide and each one approximately 24" in length.
Step 2! Using your hot glue gun, make pleats with the fabric as shown below. I am gluing mine to a 1.5 inch circle. Use whichever size fits the flower you want to make.
Step 3! Add lace to the top of fabric,. I am adding mine fairly far up the fabric because my lace is thin. Use a thicker lace if you want it to go all the way to the center. The center will be covered with another flower when completed.
Step 4! Complete your flower for the top. I am using a twisted and rolled rose. For a tutorial on how to make this flower go HERE!
Step 6! Add the twisted and rolled flower to the center of the lace! Top it off with a pretty center and there you have it!
Want to see a video tutorial step by step of how to make this? Lucky you.. It is right here!
Thanks for hanging out with me for Flower Friday! If you like this, please tweet about it! Have a great weekend!

Flower Friday-Vintage Grunge Paper Flower Tutorial
Welcome to another edition of Flower Friday!
Lets jump right in today with our Vintage Grunge Paper Flower!
This guy is so easy! Here's what you need!
- EK Success Retro Flower punches in three sizes (Extra Large, Large and Small or medium)
- 1 Small Brad
- Paper Piercer
- Cardstock
- Your Choice of Glimmer or Water
- Vintage Photo Distress Ink (or a complimentary color to your cardstock)
- Blending Tool (or whatever you currently use to apply your distress inks)
- Heat tool
Ready to get started? Great, here we go!
Punch out 3 of each of the different size flowers you have! (If you don't have the punches, find a 5 petal flower on your Silhouette or Cricut to use!)
Stack your petals according to size and then use your paper piercer and pierce straight through the middle. Starting with the smallest size, then push those petals up your paper piercer and move on to the next size until you have all three sizes on your piercer!
Arrange your flowers so that the petals are alternating.
Take your flowers off the paper piercer and insert your brad. Make any last minute adjustments to how the petals are arranged now.
Scrunch up your petals all of them to the middle, then dry them thoroughly with your heat gun! Make sure those petals are dry!
Fiddle with your petals and make sure they are shaped properly. Use your paper pierce to curl the edges of the largest petals down if you want to!
Enjoy your finished product!

Whatcha Doin' Wednesday Linky Party!
Sorry this post is a day late! It was supposed to auto post but for whatever reason did not!!
Welcome to Whatcha Doin Wednesday's!
Just a little party to celebrate all of our accomplishments over the past week! Sometimes it is hard to feel like we have done anything in this fast paced world and here you can showcase your item even it is was only a card!
Here are some Guidelines for the linky!
- When you leave a link with your finished item on my page, make sure you leave a link on your page showing that you linked up here! This is important as it provides a backlink one to your blog and one to mine! So it is win win!!
- You can post something you made for your Etsy shop, I don't mind. However if you do that make sure that you only post one item a week.
- If you have a twitter why not use the hash tag #whatchadoinwednesday when you post about your item! This we we can all find each other!
- I would love it if you followed my blog! I will return the favor if you leave a comment!
That's about it for the Guidelines! I am not really into Rules too much so I don't want to get to Knit Picky!!
So, without further ado here is my addition to Whatcha Doin' Wednesday this week! This was a project I made for a swap this week! It was the first time I had ever been late with a swap and I felt like Pooh!! I hope that my partner likes her Captured Item!!
Make sure you link up your projects from the previous week!!

It's Treasury Time!
Truth be known, I spend alot of my free time perusing Etsy for cool handmade and vintage things! I get a little kick out of making up these treasuries that showcase other sellers items! It makes me happy :) Everyone knows the holidays are approaching! Of all the ladies you know and love, who wouldn't want a new handbag, tote, or maybe even a recycled lunch bag? My bet is that you have at least 3 ladies that you are planning on purchasing a gift for this year that love bags!
Here are some of my favorites from my early morning perusal of Etsy! I hope you will check them out, I am not affiliated with any of these sellers, I just know a good bag when I see one!
If you check them out, make sure you leave a comment on my treasury post!
