WOYWW - Pure Shame!

Oh my oh my! Even I hesitated posting this shameful mess of a studio today! Normally the clutter doesn't get to me.. but when I looked at these photos today.. WOW.. I even said to myself.. This is really despicable!  And that is saying alot! So, I guess I need to clean up this place before I start on the next project!! So, before I show you the shamefulness in its full glory, let me recap my finished project..yes singular.. that I have finished this week!
I created this cute little tag for Pro31 Designs! I just love how it turned out! The cutesy little dress form is adorable! Oh, I have those for sale in my shop if you are looking for some! You can find it here! Cutesy little dress forms.

Ok.. and now on to the shamefulness that is my desk areas! I hope you won't laugh too hard! :) It is clearly chaos in here! But in my defense I have been busily creating for my shop this week! Lol.. there that's my excuse! ha!
I have a few purchases here from my latest Michaels haul that I haven't put away yet. And then of course more papers and a die .. and fibers and glues.. lol Just about anything you can have on a stamping desk that shouldn't be there! Is there!
And my main work desk is nearly completely covered in laces and trims and punches and vintage pearls. This is the state I left it in last night at 12:30AM, I couldn't keep my eyes open long enough to even bother putting anything away! You might ask why that piece of linen is hanging there like that. Well that was my backdrop for photos last night. I have a very bright lamp attached to my ribbon shelf just above that.. It shines a decent light down right there, so I photograph most of my items for sale there! Of course I normally do try and clean up a bit before that!

Well, thats it for me this Wednesday! Please do stop by and visit Julia at "Stampin-Ground" and hey, while your at it, why don't you join us crazies and show your work space too!! It is alot of fun to get to check out other peoples desks!!

Ok, So I am linking up too:

Dress Form Tag- Design Team Pro 31 project

Hey Everyone! Hope you made it through your Monday Unscathed! I felt like today was Monday all over again!! But tomorrow will be better I can tell it already! I wanted to share with you a tag I created for Pro 31 Designs! I used the new DCWV Spring Fling Stack! OOoh boy, if you haven't seen this yet then you are really missing out! It is GORGEOUS! I love all the floral in the pretty bright colors it has! So So gorgeous!

I started my tag using the #8 sized manilla tag. I covered it back and front with the design paper! Then I set to work decorating my dress form! I started with this die cut that I have for sale in my Etsy Shop!
I covered it with the Design paper -its my most favorite in the collection and happens to be the first one that is in the stack! I used lots of things from the Pro31 Designs Etsy Shop. Don't you just love that pink burlap behind the dress form! Such a pretty color!
The pretty flowers at the bottom left of the tag all came from the shop! The turquoise blue ones are the porcelain flowers that I am so in love with! For the yellow flowers, I used a Copic marker (Y32 Cashmere) and colored just the tips of the flowers so they remained white underneath. Then I sprayed them with my homemade glimmer mist!
I added some of the flat back white pearl trim and a couple of pearl sprays to top it all off! I tied the tag off with some fibers from my friend Tara and a few organza ribbons that I had in my stash!
Take some time to head on over to Esmeralda's shop and check out her awesome items! She has lots of the new WINTER CHA items for sale!

Want to see the video I created that highlights this tag? Check it out below!

Card Share using Digital Image

Hey there Crafters! I thought I would share a card that I have been working on today. I wanted to make a very simple card that was a little more girlie then what I had been making. I have really been doing alot of vintage and heavily distressed cards. I thought it was time to take a small break from that and just go with simple and fun! So here is what I have come up with!

In my last post I showed you an image that I got from FreeDigitalStamps. I finished coloring it last night and decided to make the card today! I love how it came out. I am not a huge fan of purple, but I just love how this looks together!
I used some stash ribbons and rickrack for some of the embellishments. The flowers and buttons were purchased in the 97 cent packs from wal-mart! Instead of tying the buttons with twine or floss, I opted for a thin ribbon! Love how that turned out!
 Close up of the buttons!
Love this Tim Holtz Visual Artistry Sentiment! I duplicated the image smaller on the inside of the card as well!
Markers that I used to color this card! A combination of Marvy Alcohol Markers and Copics. They work wonderfully together by the way :)

Here's the video if you are interested in listening to me ramble :) Thanks for stopping by!

WOYWW -Whats on your work desk Wednesday

I just spent 2 minutes respelling Wednesday! I think I should just go back to bed! It's going to be one of those days! Ha!! Recapping this past week is easy.. I worked on projects for my shop all week so I have nothing non shop related to share with you! Since my last post was about my shop I won't bore you with the details of my vintage lace flowers that I finally got around to creating!

We can move straight into showing you my monstrosity of a work area :) Probably not as bad as it was last week.. (I didn't post last week, not because it was too messy or anything.. but because I was gone most of the day on Wednesday!) This week, you will find a mix of papers, laces, and markers and coloring strewn amongst my work spaces!

I'm not hiding anything here with that piece of linen :) I swear! I was actually using it as a backdrop for something and never put it back!
This is my stamping and coloring desk, I was trying out a few new shades of copics I purchased from Blitsy last week! The sale is still good through today!
Here is a close up of a little Birdie image that I was practicing on! I still need to work on my shading.. The blue one shows my issues with shading around the wing I think.. But I am happy with how the little purple birdie came out!(this was a free digital image from http://freedigitalstamps.blogspot.com/ unfortunately, I got this one before I was smart enough to put the website's name in the name of the file. I do know that the title of it is Dreamin'.

I hope you all are having a wonderful week!! Don't forget to stop by Julia's blog and show her some love!

And of course I will share that I am in fact linking up to her blog again this week!

Handmade Vintage Lace and Fabric Flowers for Sale

Hi Everyone! It has been a long time since I have done a post about my Etsy shop, so I thought I might do one today! I have been busily making a bunch of flowers for my shop. Normally my specialty is paper flowers, but I have been swimming in vintage laces and flowers now for months. (I love to thrift) So I thought it was high time to put them to good use! I hope you will have a chance to take a look at them as well! By Clicking on the collages, you will be transported to my etsy shop where there are many more photos of each of the flowers.. This is just a highlight real, really. :) Ok here we go!
Some of my personal faves are the large photo in the center, that lace is so gorgeous in person. I used Champagne colored pearls and rhinestones because they were just a shade or two darker then the vintage lace and look so luscious on it! I am also partial to the felt flowers on the bottom.. So cute. These would make such cute bobby pins!
My ultimate favorite though of all I made today is the ballerina flower in the center of this collage. So so pretty with its vintage laces, seam bindings and pearl trims!

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Valentines Day Card - Deconstructing Jen Card Challenge

I have been absolutely itching to color some of the wonderful images by Krista at Saturated Canary. I love the ragamuffins, they are soo adorable! In her newsletter his month she had a super cute freebie image and I fell head over heals in love with her! I knew right away I would have to make a card with her cuteness! While I was browsing some blogs I came across Jen's Blog, The deconstructed Jen. Being new to card challenges, her blog was new to me but it sure looks like it isn't new to lots of other people! Sometimes I feel like I have been living under a rock when it comes to card making!

Anyways, I decided to do the challenge and here is my interpretation of the sketch that was offered!
I used a variety of items that I had on hand for this card, My Minds Eye Lost and Found Market street for the paper collection with a light kraft cardstock for the card base (6x6). I used some prima pearl bling, some individual flat back pearls, some great buttons and twine, and a Martha Stewart Border punch thrown in for good measure!
I added some finishing touches to the image using my At You Spica glitter pens in, chocolate, blossom and pitch black. I also used my Sakura Stardust glitter pen to add highlights to her hair, lips and buttons on her clothes. ( I am still new at this and didn't noticed that I had colored her clothes slightly wrong, nope.. I'm not going to point it out although I am sure you will see it:) )
I love her little pouty lips! So so cute!
So dainty and shabby chic! I could have smothered this in vintage lace too! Dang it, I wish I would have thought of that earlier! haha!
I kept the inside very simple this time as I didn't really know what to do with it! In fact I didn't even add the sentiment till about 5 minutes ago because I just couldn't think of something that really fit! But The I Love you will work great no matter who this goes to for Valentine's Day!

List of markers used:
Hair- Prismacolor (P) Eggshell, Copic (C) Y32, E31
Skin- Marvy (M) 821, 824, Touch Twin (TT) 26
Shoes- M 865, P light walnut
Dress- M 697,690,695, 660, 664. TT 136, 137, 138, 27, 93 and 96
Lips and Rose- BIC (B) Rambunctious Red, M 817

I am going to link this card up to The Deconstructed Jen's Sketch Challenge!

Altered Journal- Pro 31 Designs DT Project

I picked up a hardcover spiral notebook at Goodwill a month or so ago and I hadn't done anything with it and today it was absolutely calling my name! It said, Julie--- I would love you to slap some pretty paper on me and decorate me with frilly flowers and goodies! .. How could I say no when it asked so nicely! So out came the glue and scissors and diecuts and flowers and I got busy!

I first covered the front and back covers with My Minds Eye Union Square paper! Love the glittery-ness of this paper!! Gorgeous!
Then I used a sizzix die and cut out the heart and wings! The heart is cut from the rosette ribbon from Pro31 designs and the wings are cut from canvas! (Please see the video for how I colored and stiffened the wings)
I created these gorgeous flowers by using the double layer lace and satin ribbon trim from Pro31 Designs! I love this lace it is gorgeous! I topped it off with a big pearl center!
Here is a close up of the die cut heart and wings! Love it!!

Please head on over to Pro31 Designs and check out all of the amazing items Esmeralda is carrying in the shop! She gets new stuff all the time to so make sure you add the shop to your favorites!!

Here are the links to the products I used in this project!
Check out these awesome pages!!

Tiddly Inks Valentine Challenge

Ahhh, So nervous about this! This is the first time I have ever entered any of my work into a challenge, so please excuse me while I hyperventilate! Anyways so I have been enamored with Tiddlyinks since I started coloring images a month or so ago. I just love Wryn, she is so cute! So, while I was browsing the website the other day I came across a link to their challenge blog! Being a first timer, I thought it would just be best to jump right in! So I did! I am linking this post up with their Valentine's Challenge! Yippeee!!! I am glad to get my first challenge past me because I want to participate in more things like this!! Over the last couple days I have been coloring this image and then today I was able to sit down and construct the card! It is pretty grungy, and doesn't really accurately reflect my mental picture of Wryn, but I do like how it came out! I would love to have your feedback as it is the only way I can improve in this craft!
I love the glitter pen (Sakura Stardust) that I used in her hair! It really accents it nicely! I will put the marker colors I used below all of the pictures! Wryn was printed using my Kodak ESP Office 6150 printer on GinaK paper.
The paper collection is by The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) and it is called Love You. If you haven't seen this paper, you are really in for a treat! It is gorgeous! By far the best line I have seen The Paper Studio ever come out with!
I used Prima Pearl Bling and then accented them with my own rolled roses using the designer paper. Wryn was diecut using the Lifestyles Crafts Oval Eyelet dies (Love these). In the bottom right hand corner is a heart punch out. I used the Martha Stewart Lattice Heart border punch and just cut out one of the hearts. All of the elements are distressed using Tim Holtz's Brushed Corduroy distress ink.
On the inside of the card I recreated the pattern with the designer paper and used a smaller sized oval eyelet die to create a place for the sentiment. I stamped it with "hugs and kisses" which is from the We R Memory keepers clear stamp line XOXO. I love how this turned out! I will definitely be getting more of the TiddlyInks images.. they are so cute and fun to color! In fact my previous post featured one too :)

Ok now, for the markers!
