Altered Photo Cube for Mother's Day!

I altered one of the photo cubes I had in my stash for one of my Mom's mother's day gifts :D I think it turned out really cute.. I used the Dahlia flower that I did a tutorial on Flower Friday for the top!

Kitchen Aid Mixer :(---Crisis Averted!!!

Something is wrong with my KitchenAid!!! Ugh.. that thing is my best friend in the kitchen!!! I know this is a super long shot but does anyone out there know what to do if the mixer will only spin on Low?? There is no way I can afford another one but I can't really be without it either! The though of having to use a hand mixer makes me want to cry right now!!!!

Someone feel pity on me and tell me how to fix it!!

IT WAS A WIRE!! A little black wire with a crimper thing on the end popped off and we put it back on and it works like a charm now!!!

Walking update

So I strapped on the New Balance's again today and took off in search of physical fitness... ( I didn't find it if you are wondering :D) But I hopefully put a dent in working on some of my issues!

I kicked in into high gear toward the end of my walk and ended up having a max speed of 6.25 today... let me tell you.. my short little legs were zoomin!!

Here's the stats:

Total Moving Time---37.16 minutes
Average Moving Speed--2.8 mph
Max Speed---6.25 mph
Distance--1.76 miles ( I could have swore where I walked to was a two mile track.. but I guess not.. I might measure in the truck later!)

So... all in all another successful walk.. I know that my average moving speed will improve over time.. and I am really happy about that max speed.. I don't think i will be able to get to that again anytime soon!!

Softball has Started!!

I am so excited! Haley has started High School Softball again! I love softball and could sit and watch it for hours and hours. They played yesterday and they won both of their games!! I think our team this year will do really well! I am excited about that.. our high school program over the years has not been as good as the rest of the sports so I am excited that they are starting to draw more of a crowd for their games and that they are doing well!

Here are a few pictures of Haley, she plays third base and short stop, so in order to protect her face from line drives and bad hops we purchased her a mask a year ago.  It makes her look like a hawk! She looks funny but I would rather her be safe then sorry!

This week I came across this awesome website called StumbleUpon... please tell me that I am not the last person on earth to find this website!! The Basic premise of this website is to find random websites that cover topics that interest you! You tell the website what your interests are ( mine are crafts, gardening, home improvement and knitting) and then the magic happens! You click the Stumble button and you are transported through cyber space to all of these really kick butt websites that match your interests! It doesn't get much better then this!

This week alone I have been introduced to sooo many new websites like :

And these are just a few of the oh 50 or so I have viewed this week!I wasn't bookmarking them like a dork for the first 40 or so!! I will definately share more great websites next week!!

Walking..Walking .. Walking

Took the dog for a walk again today.. This time we didn't do the hilly route. I thought I was going to die yesterday after walking a mile up hill .. the mile down hill was refreshing!


I found this great ap for my phone.. it shows exactly how far you went .. and what your average speed was, your moving speed, your max speed, distance and altitude.. Now, all i need to do is be able to figure out how to upload my information so I can show you all! Have to be accountable you know!

I felt like I was walking pretty fast today.. but according to my tracks I need to move my butt quite a bit faster!
I walked 2.07 Miles
My Moving time was 43:44 minutes
Average Moving Speed was 2.84/mph
Max Moving Speed was 3.2/mph

I know exactly when the 3.2 was too.. The song from Rocky was playing and the dog and I were booking it!

I am sure over the course of the next few weeks I will get faster and walk farther! One can hope right?

A few changes around here!

Hey Guys! Wanted to just post about a few changes I made to the blog... I have added some icons on the left side here to represent YouTube, Twitter and Facebook! I like the look of them better and They take up less room.

I also did a little moving around of some of the widgets on here and increased the size of the middle column! I hope it makes it look a little more pleasing! I am also working on a new header and going to be changing up the design even more in the coming days!!

Altered Birdhouse!
