Wow, I can't believe it has been almost a week since my last post! I have been busy trying to find deductions on my taxes. Well, I am here to tell you it didn't work out for me or the hubby this year.. :( we ended up having to pay AGAIN! Grrr.. Oh well.. On to much more happy things!!
I love Pink Paislee London Market.. what gorgeous shabby chicness for sure! The colors are gorgeous and muted and so so so pretty.. Yum is the only word that is coming out of my mouth right now!
I decided I wanted to alter something for this weeks Design Team project. I searched through my stash of alterable items and nothing was really making me say wow! So.. I pulled out a trusty balsa box from Michaels! I don't think they sell these anymore, but if they do then you should definitely pick some up! So cute and so easy to alter!
Ok, enough of the chitchat. Let's get down to business! As always please check out Esmeralda's shop on Etsy.. she has some amazing goodies there just waiting for you to take home and create with!
Just look at all that Yummy London Market! I also used the Martha Stewart Butterfly punch and punched out 6 butterflies. I coated them with several layers of clear embossing powder and then shaped them to look like they were flying! Instead of just using the little knob that came with the box. I decided to use one of the Pink Paislee London Market wood Spool Buttons and top that off with a single pearl flower! I love how it looks! I used Velcro to keep the lid shut as well! You just pull on the knob and the box opens up!
I used the lovely 8130 flowers on the sides of the box. 2 pink and 1 white and I distressed them all of course with Vintage photo! It wouldn't be a project by me if there wasn't vintage photo on it for sure! The pearl and rose bling on this project is by Recollections.
I used two of the Circle pearl sprays with a flower I created using Esmeralda's gorgeous lace and topped it off with a pearl center! I love the heart and pearl trim that I have sitting right on the lace as well. It is so darling! I love how it makes this box look almost "sweet"!
This is by far one of my favorite projects! This paper collection has fast become one of my most favorite of the new releases!
Make sure you check out the shop for all these great items and then hop on over to the facebook page and say Hi there too! We would love to have you!
Want to see the video of the up close and personals of this box? Well look below and as soon as it is loaded on Youtube it will appear! Like magic :) You will also get to see all of the wonderful goodies that Esmeralda sent in her design team box for April!
Thanks for stopping by!
