I have had a love affair over the past few months with a company called Gorjuss. I am in love with their stamps. I just heart these little girls so much it should be illegal to feel this way over a small bit of rubber!
When I first saw them I though eh, they are cute but I don't know. Then, I happened to be searching around one day and started spotting them popping up everywhere! I just had to take a second look! I read about the creator and her husband on their website. You should read it, it is right here: http://www.gorjuss.co.uk/blog/?p=3450 It is a very endearing and heart wrenching story about Suzanne's health. I also took a look at some of her artwork and prints.. Sooo cute! It was then I knew that I had to have some of these!
Like I said. I love those cutie pie little girls!
I created this card as a Design Team project for Pro 31 Designs! I love this image. The name of it is called "Waiting" She is just so darling!
She looks so innocent! I used the My Minds Eye Miss Caroline collection called All Dolled Up. It looks like she is getting ready to head to church or to an affair and she is all dolled up :)
I cut out my image using the Lifestyles Crafts Ovals dies and then used the Scalloped Ovals dies to create a background for the image. If you look close, behind the blue strip of paper is a piece of corrugated cardboard that i took the paper coating off.
Here is a close-up of the Pro31 Designs floral embellishments that I used on this card. You can see the 8009E white mulberry flowers even the dark brown one started its life as a white flower. I used the Smooch Spritz in the Gorgeous Log Cabin color to create that chocolate brown color. (It is my new favorite brown!)
Also there are the gorgeous clear wheat leaves. These are so usable! Seriously they go with everything! See those lovely coral colored acrylic flowers! They are so cute and petite with their blingy centers! They match the colors in this collection perfectly! Tucked right in the center is a gorgeous porcelain calla lily!
When creating the interior of the card I knew i wanted to carry the cardboard look into it without the bulk. So, being the upcycler that I am, I used the paper that I had torn off the front of the corrugated cardboard and die cut using the Lifestyles Crafts Ovals and then using the scalloped ovals I die cut a piece of plain white cardstock and distressed it with Tim Holtz Distress ink in vintage photo!
I hope that you enjoyed my creations! I really do love these images and I encourage you to check them out!
